  1. issued a claim on 13th, was acknowledged on 14th July
  2. still need help with the above, dont want to get it wrong. also how do i claim a daily rate of interest? downloaded the spreadsheet & this dosent seem to calculate that figure.
  3. rcd today the blah blah blah letter from Rachael Shiels stating that i wont get my Data Protection Act request prior to 2004. oh well, will have to take them to court for it... or shall i send a LBA/moneyclaim for an estimated ammount? cannot be bothered to play games, just want my money back. if they hide behind the fact they have poor systems then let the court decide. BUT.. if you do read through the printout they send they are monitoring you for everything you do, it really beggars belief that they cannot access the info you need. so, shall a send an LBA for the estimated ammount or go for the jugular & start a moneyclaim for the estimated ammount without an LBA? your help would be very much appreciated.
  4. i'm stuck at the particulars of claim. i understand that i need to supply the defendant (Nationwide) & court with a list of charges & interest that i'm claiming for. how do i get this to them? is there an attachment button? or would i be best in going the paper route & filing this at my local county court in person wiuth relevant supporting docs?
  5. just a quick update. recieved a standard reply to my lba today, saying nothing really. i'm a bit dissappointed that they choose to ignore me, been a customer for 17 years. the £90 in charges thay took last week are starting to hurt now, as i have very little spare cash, and the kids birthdays are in 2 weeks. hmmm. reality check. screw them. i want my money back. in the lba i managed to add the charges up wrong, £60 short of what i should be, so i feel rather embarrassed about that, but i guess there will be more to come my way in a week or so + the continuing charges they inflict. the parachute account is up & running, all dd's have been changed and the sad old flex account is of no use to me anymore(seen the thread about nasty tricks, so wont be caught out...) back to business, they owe me £714.02 in charges alone + £89.46 in interest. gonna treat the kids when i get that little lot back(have 5 to treat! LOL) need to fill in the moneyclaim form, anyone have any tips before i do please? please PM me if you have the time or reply here, any help would be most welcome.
  6. well done you! i'm just about to go throught he moneyclaim part myself..
  7. well done you! i'm sure that i'll be writing a similar letter very soon, its just that all the charges make it very difficult to maintain payments sometimes. they really have no idea what they do to people sometimes.
  8. fair comment, but if they close my account then i'll have another to hand. i only chose Natwest as they have a branch where i live, i have to travel 10 miles to my nearest Nationwide branch.
  9. i dont care, opened up an account with Natwest last week. i've had enough with Nationwide ripping me off, gonna get my money back and give them the 2 fingered salute.
  10. I contacted capital one over the phone & asked them to send me details of all charges on my account. rcd a letter today confirming they have stolen £516 from me, which i would like returning. my question is, shall i send a prelim now or send a DPA letter asking if any manual intervention has occurred? the reason i'm asking is that i dont have any details about manual intervention with the letter i have rcd today. what should i do?
  11. thanks for that. was just reading a similar thread in the abbey forum. interesting reading!
  12. sent my dpa letter & cheque on 19th may rcd the microfiche excuse & usless printout while i was on hol sent the DPA LBA letter on 22nd June. they have until 10th july to fully comply. i'm quite happy to issue an N1 with the Particulars of claim, but how much am i claiming for damages? If i have to....it's in red all i want are the statements, damages are another matter... do i have to claim damages or just use the N1 to force Barclaycard to send the statements? any help would be greatly appreciated:)
  13. just rcd a hand delivered letter from Welcome and they have agreed to all my requests & refunded £110 from my outstanding balance. wayahay!! Welcome are just the first.....
  14. just got back from my jollies & have a letter from the branch manager, Miles Jackson stating that they accept my claim for £75 to be refunded when i clear my account up with them!!! WTF???? i sent 2 claims in, one for £75 & the other for £40. the £40 appears to have been ignored. they need to remove the charges, all £115 from my account NOW, so they dont accrue any more interest. LBA on way today.
  15. just got back from my jollies & have the standard Foxtrot Oscar letter from Sarah Watson. no surprise there then! LBA to be sent today.
  16. had a letter back from head office today stating that the branch manager will call me in a couple of days. "that'll be a cheque payable to....." lol
  17. whilst i feel rather ashamed to ever have had dealings with this Parasitic company, I have sent 2x prelim letters asking for over £100 back in charges on two separate accounts. one is still running & the other now closed. i had a long discussion with a chap in the Sheffield branch who did confirm they were penalties!! sent the letters to head office, they have 14 days now....
  18. Thankyou! i must say what a fantastic site this is, i have been reading various posts for weeks now & i'm all fired up.
  19. well here we go, ROUND 1!!! Ding, Ding..... just received my statements from the Nationwide & i calculate they owe me £514! typed up the prelim letter & was wondering do i send to Charles Bacon or Deborah Desborough?
  20. the mrs sent a dpa letter 3 weeks ago authorising £10 to be taken from her account, they wrote back 2 days ago stating it is £5. she has had to send another letter in! quite clever of them employing these 3 week delaying tactics. maybe if others have found this to be the case then a small amendment to the dpa letter is needed for halifax customers c'mon halifax, you owe us....!
