  1. I've just been doing the same. The first claim has been almost successful! I'm now embarking on my second with a different bank. The template should mention fourteen days on it. Good luck. Pegmate
  2. I thought it may make them more likely to settle the matter sooner. With hindsight, perhaps it was a bit too soon to start bargaining. Thanks. Peg
  3. Hi all, I sent my first letter to the RBS on the 30th January asking them to return £526 and to contact me within fourteen days. I recieved nothing from them and so on the 19th Feb I sent a letter informing them that I would be taking further action through the court but I would accept approx £395 if settled within fourteen days. Today (21st Feb) I received a letter from them (sent also 19th Feb) offering me £503 along with a form which I returned directly to accept the offer. My concern is that when they receive my second letter they may withdraw their offer and instead offer me £395. Can they do this? And also, should I send them a letter to clarify that I sent the letter before receiving their offer and I REALLY do want the £503! Any advice would be great. Ta. Pegmate.
  4. Thanks for the help already. Only been a member for half an hour and can see this is going to be worthwhile. Pegmate
  5. Hello all. Another new member to the site. Just exploring it. The first question I wish to find out is, is this site relevant to me in Scotland? I understand there is a difference (such as small claims in Scotland being under £750 instead of £5000). Other than that, is the procedure the same? I have cases with RBS and Lloyds TSB. Any help with this would be great. Ta, Pegmate.
