Hi Sue, If your claiming against the Halifax the best thing to do is phone them up (telephone banking No) & request your statements over the phone, we got them within 5 days & they only charge £5 for the whole lot no matter how many you want. Hope this helps.

I would just like to thank this wonderful site. I have just won back £719 for my husband & all I did was write 2 letters. Firstly he telephoned Halifax & asked for all his statements since opening his account which happened to be 2 + years. Halifax sent them within days & charged £5 for the lot! Then I sent the 1st letter asking for the charges back without interest. We got a standard letter saying they will look into it & respond within 4-6 weeks. 14 days later I sent the LBA & included the interest on excel spreadsheet at 8%. Again we got a standard letter saying they will look into it. Another 14 days passed & I went & picked up small claims court forms to file. We were just about to fill them in this weekend & a letter from Halifax arrived offerering £719 it did not include the interest which in total should of been a further £52.80 but we are going to accept & should receive the money within 14 days. We are very delighted as it only took a bit of researching this site & 2 recorded letters to the Halifax. The halifax did state in the letter that if we accept the offer we won't be able to make a further claim against them or they may close the account, but all in all we are very happy indeed.
