  2. Hi all This forum has been excellent as I was unaware I could do anything until I saw a news report a few weeks ago!! My story is the same as everyone else. I have been charges over £2000 in the last 12 months for unpaid direct debits and exceeding my overdraft limit. I wrote off the initial complaint to may branch via the 1st stage request, got a reply saying that usual "our charges are transparent.....we will not be refunding". I sent off the 2nd stage letter which they would have received on Tuesday. The other complaint I made to them was that in January I phoned asking for a £500 increase in my overdraft beacuse all my DD's were being rejected and that was declined, since then they have charged me £780 in charges!! My only differance is that I have never received a single letter informing me that an item was unpaid and that they will be deducting the £38 fee and only see the charges being applied when I receive my statement, ie after the fact!! Is this common or is it just me? Any comments would be appreciated
