  1. Hi Chrisp7, I myself have just issued a claim to Barlcays (last couple of days) and I sent it to the Leiceister address, which is (allegedly)their headoffice! - I noticed £30 commission charges, when I looked at my statements online, but sneakily, they get changed to referral charges when you ask for your statements so yes include them!!! I shall post an update as and when they reply to me!! GOOD LUCK
  2. Hi - I have been with BB for ages - over 16yrs and overall all has been well. I had a Student account with them - hideous Gradloans and overdraft to see me through - but got back on my feet reasonably quickly when I graduated and got full time job - this is were the problem is - 5yrs ago I went to part-time hours and my wages were halved - then I started to incurr some charges and it sort of snowballed - I know that over the last two years alone I have been charged in excess of £1000 on my account in charges and have had to take out a loan to pay my overdraft and topped it up after christmas!! - this is the straw that broke the camel's back - they charged my £60 for being only £27 over my overdraft!!!!- £30 instantly and because it was xmas I didn't get the letter until some 5 days after by which time they had charged me again!! - and the most frustrating thing is, is that I had enough money to cover the over-overdraft in my savings account but by the time they charged me twice it wouldn't cover it!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I have sent the initial Data Protection Act letter but have a feeling that they are holding out for the 40days!!! has anyone else been dealing with them and are they this obstante!! cheers
  3. Hi - I have just recently joined this website and am a little stressed! Could do with as much advice as possible from anyone who has sucessfully (or unsucessfully) gone through this. I recently, well about 2 weeks ago sent out the initial letter for obtaining bank statements or a break down of charges, enlcosed the £10 cheque - and am still waiting to hear. Is this normal? Not even a "thank you for your enquiry, our team of highly trained experts are dealing......blah blah blah" letter. Pariniod that they are not taking me seriously and do I have the b*$$*cks to go through with it now!!! HELP HEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPP!!!
