  1. you could change your address to someone you know in scotland. Then you can claim through scottish law, however you would be better to use english law as you can claim more than £750 in small claims, and you can also claim up to 6 years of charges instead of 5.
  2. Today i recieved a cheque through to pay back £659 of unfair bank charges applied to my mums account, it took over 6 months of communications back and forth but as you can see, it is worth the effort. Thank you to all comments which have helped me to achieve this.
  3. Hi all, im new to this website and i need some advice. I have sent a letter to LTSB to reclaim unlawful bank charges and have had a reply telling me that the charges applied to my account will stand as a service charge, because they paid out on direct debits and bank "service" charges, which resulted in my account being overdrawn, but surely if there is no money in my account, then no transactions should take place. I made an appointment at my local branch and i was offered, are you ready for this a measley £90, which would not be credited to my account, but would consist of 3 future charges that would be applied to my account, in the next few weeks. as you can imagine i turned the offer down. Can anyone give me some guidance on how to apply to the smail claims court, or should i use summary cause claim? (is that what it is called?). Please help
