  1. Hi Guys. Many thanks for the response and the links, i shall follow all this up and take my time, now i have calmed down a bit (lol) i can probably think abit clearer. I shall be sure to watch my terminololagy in the future..... many thanks for this........... By the way we must not say it's illegal because that refers to criminal matters (though most of us probably think they are!) the term is unlawful Regards Willow63 x
  2. Hi to all, I recently read on a forum that someone had got their charges back from their bank covering a 6yr period, ( how far back can you go with your claimes?) i was gob smacked to say the least, i didnt know that it was illegal what they were doing. the person mentioned gave a link to this site, so here i am and after spending a few days trying to get round this site and reading everyones comments, i feel quite stunned. Over the christmas period, i used my debit card (as one does) the monies were obviously there at the time of using or else the card wouldnt have cleared. then i get letters from the woolwich telling me that when the payments went through, there wasnt money in the account so are charging me £30 for each one thats a total of £120 ! I phoned them up and complained and told them they had no right to take this money and i just got a load of crap from them, they took the money and then charged me £35 for each of my standing orders that were declined because they took my money! Im so upset, this is all anyone needs after christmas. So where do i start, im finding it very difficult to get to one page that tells me step by step what to do...........sorry if im coming over all thick and stupid, but its quite scarry when you think you are about to take on such a big company. And right now i'm mad and emotional about it all. Thank you, thankyou thankyou.............. in advance !
