  1. Hi, Thanks for the message, tell me about it - it seems that when ever a company outsource their repairs it never quite reaches the standards that you expect. the small claims court is a good idea and I do really hope that it does not come to that but I want something done, I honestly know that no liquid has been anywhere near the laptop at all and its just makes my blood boil to have my property treated with such dis-regard... cheers Scotty Hoping it won't come to that though, let's give them the benefit of the doubt for now and push for action!
  2. Hi, I have had a similar problem with Paypal, I told a wedding dress off ebay and the person paid with paypal. we then posted the dress and the buyer said that she had not recieved the item. She them logged this with paypal as an item not recieved and it resulted in Paypal giving that person her money back. Now, I answered every request that Paypal sent to me and even sent them a copy of the postal reciept. They said that as the buyer had not confirmed that she has recieved the item and she was not answering any of our emails that their was nothing they could do. so we ended up being £120 down as well as the wedding dress down. paypal really dont give a toss about the sellers and it seems that the company is run via robots. anyone know a way that it can be resolved or indeed if this was infact legal? Thanks Scotty
  3. Hi, I have just had my laptop come back from the Fujitsu Siemens repair centre and I am not happy a few things, they are listed below :- 1) apparently the machine is liquid damaged as there are 5 keys on the keyboard that dont work (this is why it was sent away for repair in the first place) 2) the machine has come back with the keyboard not fully attached, 3) the monitor is not full attached and infact is hanging off. 4) there is a digital scan showing the scratches on the laptop that were on it when the machine was recieved at the repair centre, there is now a rather large scratch/dent that is not included on the picture at the side of the laptop, it measures about 1 inche is seems to be a result of either dropping or banging. what can i do? what are my rights on this? I have contacted the repair centre but they dont want to know and just kept saying that the machine was water damaged anyway so why as i concerned about the above issues? I have asked for a photocopy showing the apparently liquid damage but this has been refused. what I will say is that when the machine was sent away, I asked what the turn around time was. I was told that it was 7 days. well on the 7th day that the machine was away, I had a call saying that it was liquid damaged. This just seems a bit too coincidental to say this on the day that the machine was meant to be back. any advise would be great? Thanks Scotty
  4. Hi Dave, I dont suppose I could have these email details for a person at virgin media that I could contact would I? I have had problems with my account since July and Virgin has still got an open complaint that I made for July which no-one has bothered to come back to me about. They have now cut me off saying that I owe them money but the fact is that I have had been paying £39 for the XL Broadband but I have old been getting the S service Broadband due to a fault with my modem which customer care has admitted but say that cannot exchange my modem till I pay the balance which is what I have been overcharged (confused eh) anyway, I would love it if you would help. Thanks Scotty
  5. Hello Everyone, I have just joined this forum and thought that it was best to start by saying a rather large "Hello" to everyone. I am not sure if I can contribute to anyone in this site as my knowledge really does not extend past the mobile phone sector which is where I have worked for the last 14 years. Anyway, I hope to be involved as much as possible in this forum. Cheers everyone. Scotty
