  1. Ladies and gentleman I thing I was made a big missed with my case. The Application you guys have been helping with is for Barclays whereas I was meant to be seeking help for Barclaycard. I have not sent a S.A.R for barclaycard and the scary part is that I have done a counter claim on the wrong account. Now I have been given an allocation questionaire and I will go to court unprepared. What should I do? I feel Like an idiot.

  2. Particulars of the claim only state the amount of £1670.35 being monies due from my self under regulated credit agreement between the defendant and barclays T/a barclaycard.

  3. Yes I have recieved my reply to my SAR but not the full statements. So what should I write, my counter claim or their claim. Dont understand. Can I accept my debt with them do a counter claim. Does doing a counter mean I will be given time to prepare my case because I dont have a final figure for the charges from Barclays.

  4. sorry guys I have been quite. My father past away and I had to go abroad for a while. on my return Barclays has since entered a claim for 1870 including costs. What do I do I make a counter against this claim.

  5. Emailed Sheena but she was replied saying---'I have forwarded your query onto the appropriate business area handling the requests for Abbey. Our records do show that the historical information was sent out to you on the 20 June 2007. As it's clear that you have not received this data, I've asked them to re-issue the transactional information out to you as soon as possible.

I hope you receive the data safely in the very near future'

    S0 I am still waiting

  6. On the 06/06/7 I send a letter for data protection to abbey. they responded on the 16/06/07 giving me 6months bank statements and a schedule of paid and unpaid charges (£770 and 1321 respectively) and overdraft fees for £115.00. This schedule is from Jan 2004. Today 12/07/07 almost 36 day from initial contact I recieved a letter saying 'our reseasrch is taking longer than expected because we want to make sure a full investigation is done. If we are unable to complete our investigation before hand, we will write to you again in four weeks time to let you know how we are getting on.'

What should I do next it appears they are playing games asking to wait another 40 days and they have not furnitured me with all the info from when I opened the account in 2002. What is next for me now?.

  7. Abbey has sent me a schedule of charges, paid and unpaid from 2004 and a bank statements for 6months. They said they would sent me the rest of the info later. Its now 34 days and they have not fully complied. Should I start doing something.

  11. I have introduced my self before. I dont know why I am taking long to claim my right with Abbey and Barclays,I guess I will have the energy tommorow. I have read a lot on the forum and this site and am ready to assert my right. Barclays has since sold my account to another company called HFO who are constantly on the phone looking for me or texting me message threatening to attach a charge to my mortgage. What should I do? Pliz advice.

  12. hello

I have just recieved a letter from abbeys debt collectors (solictors) threatening immediate court proceedings if I dont pay the the full balance of £1944. Over the years I have incurred harsh charges for direct debts not honoured mainly due to the ripple effect of these charges. Should I tell the Solicitors of my intention to assert my right?. Abbey is not yet aware of this because I am still trying to learn about the whole procedure. What shoul do, becuase I will contiune getting these threatening letters?

    Thank You

  13. Hello everyone. I notice you have been doing a very good job asserting your rigths with these bank charges. I am about to asset my right as soon a soon as I get some one with a debit card to buy a the Lawpack. I believe I have charges with The Abbey, who have since sent my account to debt collection agency who call me daily, Barclays have done the same,Barclay card and Halifax also. The fact that is due to the high amount of charges I am finding it difficult to pay anything and I believe the burden can be lightened is these were removed.:-x . I am looking forward to this journey and I hope to be a very happy person in a few months.

    Thank U
