  3. Hi today I have received a letter from an Solicitor working on behalf of Alliance & Leicester stating that they intend to defend the claim. Just waiting for a court date now, if anyone has any evidence that will suppot my claim in court it would really be appreciated, very nervous now!!

     

    Also been charged £37 for a £10.50 cheque not being paid rang them as the payment is waived under £10, very stroppy woman said it had gone over by 50p so it cost them £37 for someone to decide if it was going to be paid or not. :evil:

  4. How many letters!!!!

    Recieved ANOTHER letter today from another person, from the same department.( this makes 4)

    This is quite funny thinking half the work force is sending me letters, maybe if they spoke to each other they could save time and money.

     

    The letter states again that they are 'well within their rights as these were correctly raised charges'

     

    Roll on Monday, never know might have recieved another 4 letters by then

  5. Update: Sent first letter, got reply 7 days later.

    Sent second letter stating wasnt satified with their standard

    print out I recieved and if nothing is done will see them in court.

     

    Today have recieved not 1 but 2 letters

     

    first one states, 'sorry to learn your account has been causing you some dissatisfaction but we make no secret of our charges. blar blar blar...... I hope we will now be able to draw this matter to a close

     

    NO we bl**dy well cant close this matter,

     

    Second letter says they will send a full response within 28 days.

     

    Both letter have come from exactly the same department, same address but 2 people, do they not communicate. AAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG!!!!!!

     

    Gonna have to give them til Monday as stated in my second letter but have a good mind to process my claim with court today.

  6. Sent my first letter, recieved reply exactly 7 days later, fob off really. They said would look into it and get back to me. Delay tactics!!!!

    So have sent a letter before action giving them 14 days to refund charges or will see them in court, prepared to go all the way if needed.

    Havent found anyone yet who has recieved refund or has logged claim with Alliance so quite worried.

  7. Confused now,

    sent them a letter stating wanted money back within 7 days. (already got statements from last 6 years).

    They sent me reply, I was all ready to go for the court direction but got the impression from other threads that I was best sending them another letter stating not happy with the standards blar blar letter I recieved.

    Damn just sent new letter giving them 14 days for full refund,

    Advice please!!!!

    Got to wait the 14 days now havent i? Or could I just go straight to the court.
