Hi , im new to this group and am very keen to share my story and hopefully get some feedback from you guys.
In 2005 i took out a loan for £25k with HSBC and this was to settle a previous loan for £9000 .
At the time of taking out my loan (done bia marketing over telephone) i did not know i had ppi.
in 2006 i missed a few payments, i lost my job.
Instead of them advising me of ppi and i could claim,
they banged me on a managed loan at £376 a month...
The original loan was £465 over 96 months.
They did me no favours bexause all they did was take off ppi and hike up the interest rate.
Last week they redressed the ppi
but given i settled the loan in 2009 ( 4 years earlier than i should have re original loan...
...i just want to know can i ask them to give me back the interest rate i had originally which was 4.9 i think!
They have refused me at customer services and now im off to ombudsman.
Any views.?
Thanks in advance...
also i ended up paying £43k on a £25k loan.
i know they refunded £4600 in ppi but thats nowhere near covers intersest rate on managed loan

Yes igot the 8% on the ppi payout but what im now claiming is that they should not have put me on a managed loan in the first place.I was curious to know if anybody else has challenged their managed loan and got recompense for the extortionate interest rate.
