After months of consideration I will be posting my Data Protection S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) letter tomorrow.......Its good to get started...!!

Couldn't have done it without the help from this forum...Fantastic..!!

I will use the address from my statement ie:

Abbey, PO Box 382, Prescot St, London, E1 8RP.

Any words of wisdom would be gratefully received.....!!

I've got an existing mortgage account with Woolwich....The plan is to make use of this account for salary payment/direct debits etc should the need arise...

Can I assume that Abbey will close my account if I make a claim against them...??

After months of consideration I have finally taken the first step towards reclaiming my bank charges from Abbey.

My Data Protection Act Subject Access Request has just been typed and I will be sending it, and the £10 fee, by recorded delivery to Abbey, PO Box 382, Prescot St, London E1 8RP over the next few days..........

I cant believe I have waited all this time to type a letter which basically takes no more than a few minutes to cut and paste from the letter library on this site.

I will make regular posts over the coming days and weeks to update the site with my progress.

I've been an Abbey customer for about 9 years. I live in Scotland and intend using the County Court System in England should the need arise.

This forum has been absolutely fantastic......I now have a good understanding of the process involved in reclaiming my bank charges and I'm genuinely grateful for the wealth of practical advice and friendly support available on this site.
