Volkswagen polo sports at first i see it up in the air that was back in august i aint seen it since then but i doubt he has done anything with it every time i have a argument with him he says you can happily toe your car away i give up chasing after it so this is the only way now to sort it out i was worried about mot having receipts but the support you guys have showed me shows i have every chance its much appreciated

Thats what i mean i should have to tell him hes the garage owner im just a young lad whos fed up of waiting around do you think i should speak to a solicitor and add bit more on to the letter or just send it how it is and yeah he reckons he cant find the parts but soon.as i put my code in on ebay theres loads of gearboxes i have to ring him up give him the numbers its not my job to do that

What do you think the outcome will be ... If only i had receipts to prove i paid him i have plenty of witnesses though and he has got a lot of explaining to do how does a car manage to be in garage nearly 5 months when hes been paid what he wanted hes had more then enough time aswell

Im.going to send the letter and he said.that after first argument if i dont collect my car hes going to charge me daily fee back in.november we settled that dispute by him.saying he wants another140 to get the parts finish all the work off give me the receipts and that will be end of it that was back in.start of december so its been another month and bit ive run.out of patience now i asked about him threatening me with that just incase he says it again.after he receives this letter

When i first took him the car he agreed 300 for everything parts and fitting he didnt provide me with receipts as weeks past then months i grew impatient rang him had a go he didnt like it said its costing him fuel money travelling every were getting gearbox and getting wrong ones i asked for my money back the 300 hes like you be lucky if you have 50 quid back because it cost him to strip it down he didnt mention none of this at start and it dosnt cost 300 to strip car and i certainly shouldnt have to pay for his petrol when its his fault when i.told him engine code gearbox code after all that he carried on messing around i popped in with my boss he agreed to have my car ready within 3 days if i paid him another 140 which i did that was start of december now hes playing games again i rang him monday he said stop ringin him all the time i.said its been 5 months my tax had gone i need my car he just keeps saying yeah be ready by end of week or waiting on parts doesnt keep me updated he just keeps making promises and sets dates that he doesnt have it ready for so there is still no sign og gearbox certainly doesnt take 5 months to fit a gearbox and clutch and to find the parts hes taking me for a ride he hasnt mentioned no more money just keeps lying abour when its going to be ready

You no your stuff dont you wish i come on here months ago seeking help instead of being walked all over by the garage

What do i do if he tells me after receiving letter he wil charge me for my car being at his garage hes threatend me with that before

I have just declared it sorn there was no hiccups said ill get confirmation letter within 4 weeks

Yeah im going to phone the dvla in a minute about sorn in the car

Its a company im sure of they sent me a leaflet through the post thats when i rang them back in august both payments were made in cash by my dad he will have the withdrawals on his statements im going to sort the sorn out today only reason.i have waited is because he keeps telling a date my car will be ready but the promises are compulsive lies and yes i am 100% commited to get to the bottom of this either have my car repaired as promised or my money back

Yeah i get what you mean but i have not driven it i have plenty of witnesses plus if it come down to it id tell them were it is and i cant drive it with out gearbox and clutch i understand what you mean though

Dvla sent me a letter i am going to sorn it i cancelled my insurance after a month of it being there and yeah can you help me please with a letter will be much appreciated and thanks every one else aswell whos helped so far
