  1. Hi all.just a quick update... As I wroteto complain to the council and rds about the.confusion over fees added to the account I have today recieved a letter from rds statin 'there was possible issues with the way my account was handles by the council, and the account has now been handed back to them'.....PHEW!!!

BUT...there is still some confusion on my partt as in this letter it states 'our bailiff levied on items inside the property and left a copy of the notice of distress with you'

He never left any such thing.no paperworj at all was left with us!!! What a lie.it also says he levied on a veichile outside the property, and we dont even have a car!!! Do I dispute this with rds?? Or do I just keep schtum and wait for council to get intouch? Surley as the bailiff has lied about leaving paperwork something should be done? Any help plz

  2. I have just emailed rds, stating that im not refusing to pay,but I am dealing with council.and that im lodging a formal complaint about them putting van fee and levy fee on same day, especially that no levy has been made and I havent signed anything, ever, from rds.ive also emailed council, informing them of this and,of how to pay this debt.....hopefully il hear something b4 bailiff comes back!!

  3. Today I recievef the breakdown of fees,

as I stated earlier.im unsure as to how I am meant to pay this ct debt.

    do I pay rds?

or council using this years bill?

And do I still not allow him into my home

?the fees breakdown states on 20th nov I incurred fees for van attendance of £110 & a levy fee of £46!!!

Th&ts on top of the outstandin ct bill of £642.84

    & 1st visit fee £24.50 & 2nd visit fee of £18.00

  4. Like an idiot,

i let this guy in my house,on 20th nov,to see if I could pay by installments.

so,in effect,he has gained peavrful entry.

he turned up at my house on this day wen I was out pickin my kids' up from school

.he hand posted a liability letter thro the door with his number on it

.i rang him and as he was still outside my house I told him to come in.

he left and came back last week and posted a final notice

.stating I had to ring him to arrange a time wen he could recall to remove my effects to satisfy the debt.

    i didnt call him

    .today I recieved the

  5. Hi all.i have finally recieved fee breakdown today, which states....

    June 18 2012 debt £642.84

    June 27 visit fee £24.50

    July 10 visit fee 2 £18.00

    Nov 20 attendance/van £110.00

    Nov 20 levy fee £46.00

Not too sure what to do now as I have no other paper work other than liability letter.it says on the front of the letter (in red) to make immediate payment callour automated payment line ..... Quoting......

Does this mean I can ring them and make small payments of £10? Coz the bailiff said he couldnt take part payment,or installments...and will he be back?

  6. Morning all.so glad I stumbled across this site.its given loadsa info and now I dont feel so scared of 'the big man' returning :)

I copied some of the letter I came across on this site, parts about knowing my rites, and the itemising of costs and fees of the bailiff.also wrote another letter to the council sayin I will pay them direct, and ONLY them.not the bailiff, and for them to reply with how they want their money (at £50 per month, which I feel is a reasonable amoint!) I would like to just sat a massive THANKYOU to all who have helped me on this site with replies :)

  7. He didnt leave anything.and I didnt sign anything. I want to pay this debt to the council direct, and cut him out coz his 'fees' are massive.my ct debt was origionally £650 but with his fees it has risen to £844. The letter he left before I called him has 2 reference numbers on it...theirs and the councils.do I pay the council online with the councils ref no:?
