  1. The letter was sent to me on the 11 June 2011. But all post is sent to my home address which i sporadically visit from time to time so i didn't pick up the letter and all other letters from them until Saturday. It states the new OD facility will be instated on the 6th July 2011. If i don't get the OD below the agreed limit £550 then i'll incur and unarranged overdraft interest rate of 18.9% EAR as well as an unarranged overdraft fee.

I'll ring them tomorrow and see what they say. Would it be better for me to go into a branch an speak to someone face to face?

  2. Hi,

I need some advice on my current financial plight. I have an overdraft with Nationwide which up until about 2 months ago was £1050. It was then cut to £550. However i am now into an unauthorised overdraft as my account currently stands at £-617. I was notified of this in writing by the bank however i still wasn't able to reduce the overdraft in time before incurring extra fees/charges

Today i received a phone automated phonecall from them asking for full or part payment to bring the account back into the black within 7 days. I couldn't make out the amount they wanted me to pay as the line was unclear.

Currently i am out of work, left my last job on 15/07/11. I have no savings as they are all tied up in my deposit for my flat. Currently i'm living off £10 that i have in a clean bank account i opened up with Lloyds. I've recently applied to start claiming benefits but don't know how long it'll take before i'm verified.

In addition to the debt with Nationwide i also have bills due in the next few weeks which i will be unable to pay for due to the current state of my account. Rent and Electricity are due in 2 weeks and i'll have no way of paying them unless the matter with my overdraft is resolved.

What steps can i take to resolve this matter?? I don't want bailiffs turning up at my door or get taken to court. I'm just trying to scrape by the best i can.

  3. Hi ,

I'm arrears over council tax that i didn't know i had to pay. I didn't fill in the change in circumstance form at the time i moved into the property which was last July. At the time i moved into the flat i was a student but i dropped out of university in September. Since then I've been living off savings trying to find work and although i did find a part time job in February, but that barely covers the rent and food as i don't get many hours + i've been draining my savings account and am down to the last few hundred which i need for rent. Things get further complicated as i start an apprenticeship in June and shouldn't have to pay Council tax for the forthcoming year.

They are still unaware that i owe them council tax as i haven't contacted them yet. I know I've been stupid in not contacting them sooner but how do i move forward from here without it adversely affecting me?
