The fraud team that I spoke to said that my personal information had been compromised and they had to decided whether or not to wipe the slate clean or make me pay for it.

What actually happened was that I stupidly filled out a phishing [problem] claiming to be from the bank and because of that, the fraudsters were able to access my account. What really confused me was that they were able to put a "online cheque" into my account according to the bank statements I received that exact month, and they were transferring a specific amount of money into my account all in one day before the cheque bounced.

Should I also report to the Financial Ombudsman?

No I haven't, but I would soon. What would I need to say if I wrote a letter.

personally, I know someone who does these kind of things but instead they sell Fake Cameras for 300+. A friend of mine tried to convince me to do it but I was weary of it when he said he had to use my account. My suggestion is that you do not have anything to do with e-bay when your buying something or your acting as someone else's ebay lister, this would keep you out of trouble.
