  1. Also, another little piece of information to share. It just so happened I was sat talking to a gentleman whom worked for Computeach as a 'tutor'

When the Computeach salesman came to my home, I was told that the tutors were all in house staff and they are dedicated to you etc etc. The truth of it is that the 'tutors' actually work from their own home, Computeach forward your 'course query' to the 'tutor' and he/she deals with it all from their own office at home. They are not dedicated, they get paid on how many hours they put in dealing with these complaints etc. Self Employed too. Sound very similar to how the salesman work/earn I think...

Also I am not sure of the author, but have a look at this,

    http://hubpages.com/hub/BarclayParterFinance

  2. What address have people been using for BPF please that has actually prompted a response, however dismissive? Gotta send my letter asap as they wanna reactivate my account next week and just wanna be sure Im sending it to the right place so they cant dispute whether they've received it or not. I'll be sending it recorded delivery.

Sorry, I know it was posted sometime back im just not sure where!!

    I posted to;

    Barclays Career Development Loans

    P.O Box No. 228

    Liverpool

    L69 7RU

  3. Does any one know if there is any way possible to get copy's of our credit agreements as i seem to have misplaced mine.

I think Advent would have a copy of all the necessary documents but as its now Computeach will they still have all our information on file?

If you go here http://consumerforums.com/resources/templates-library/86-debt-collectors/581-cca-request-letter and use the Consumer Credit Agreement Request template, send that to the people who OWN the debt, so BPF if you used them or whoever was the loan provider.

  4. i too recieved the letter from computeach today, asking me to regiser via their website, which i will not be doing.

also, martin, should i ring computeach to explainmy situation and try to cancel direct with them or should i wait for the letters to come out on here?

Good luck with that. Let me know if they accept your request to cancel because I want some tips!

  5. Hi Bluedo,

Could you please post a template letter that I should send to FOS? My situation is similar to yours: BPF, 5000k, bla bla....hate this situation!!!

    Thank you

I would appreciate this also. Today I have sent a CCA request letter to both Marehill Finance and BPF requesting a copy of my credit agreement. In the hope that maybe they won't be able to provide it and I get a quick exit out of this mess.

Once they have provided the documents requested, I am then going to send a letter to the FOS, and OFT, and also my local MP who may wish to side with myself against these jokers.

Also I sent a dispute letter to BPF around 4 weeks ago and have heard nothing from them? Not even a letter to confirm they have logged my complaint? Is this anything I could use against them?

  6. Thanks BlueDo, for an experiment I have just printed and preparing to send a CCA letter of request to both Marehill Finance and BPF. On the assumption that if Marehill Finance no longer exist they will struggle to provide me with the information = I can cancel the direct debit and then just have BPF to deal with. I would rather bang my head against a wall than write to those sharks at CT as they are not sympathetic to individual needs nor willing to help.

  7. So I am to write to trading standards and consumer direct and cease any payments asap? await to hear from them and then take it from there?

One point to make is that I havent actually contacted CT recently requesting a refund as I have seen it as pointless and chose to contact BPF first. Computeach are part of ALOT of 'industry' governing bodies, of which I find probable that they are all in on the [problem]?

  8. Dale have you also still got copies of the agreements you made with Barclays and Marehill ?

Hi Martin, yes it has all come together for me now and I think I have landed in the right place.

I have ALL copies of any agreements made between myself, Marehill Finance, and also BPF.

Quick question, now they have no longer got a licence could I cancel my direct debit to them and not worry about debt collectors?

    Secondly, here is Marehill Finance's last address I have on my credit agreement with them;

    Marehill Finance LTD

    University House

    Jews Lane

    Dudley

    W. Midlands

    DY3 2AH

Yes you may recognise this address, as it is EXACTLY the same building that CT trade from and where there in-house training happens, if it happens at all.

I have sources a second address, which is Vittoria Street, Birmingham, West Midslands, B1 3ND

    Consumer Credit Licence no. 156676

    Company House no. 1764942

  9. Hi I don't mean to put a spanner in the works and will delete this post if it is out of context, but please you guys have a read of my case and see if it has any relation to what you guys are going through, as admin and other site members just keep referring me to this thread. here goes...

In April 2007, I was a 19yr old young man preyed upon by a Computeach pressure salesman. He promised me only 8 hours a week of study would be fine to complete the course in two years. I have this on my copy of the contract signed by Computeach and myself.

I also explained to the salesman my personal situation with my son whom at the time was seriously/terminally ill. He assured me that it wouldn't be a problem etc and again like most other people on these forums was promised a world of 'personal' tutoring, support, individually tailored tutoring etc etc. I have all my records in order.

The financial side of it was funded through a Barclays Career Devlopment Loan for 80% of the course fees. The other 20% of the course fees were funded via a company called Marehill Finance, who I understand to be Computeach's 'in house' finance department.

    Barclays Loan - £3800.00

    Marehill Finance - £750.00

    Deposit - £200

    Course Total - £4750

I managed to complete my first part of the course which was the IC3 module, so around 25% of the total course length.

I kept in touch with computeach via email about my personal situation and did ask on several occassions for a refund and to cancel the course they said it wouldn't be possible even in my situation and all they would do is give me a 12month extention on the course.

I am claiming for a partial refund and have informed barlcays by way of letter that I am looking for a refund from computeach so that I can pay off the loan I have with them. As regards to the Marehill finance part of the finance, I have been paying that since June 2007 and it is fully paid off in June 2010.

I am looking for advice on how to go about claiming my course fees back, including examination fees that I havent even sat. Also how to tidy up the finance and get these loans cleared, hopefully in the way of a refund via Computeach.

Sorry for the lengthy post but I am thorough ;)

  10. Admin Please Feel Free To Move My Thread If Needed...

Is there nobody out there that can help at all in any way?

I don't have access to a scanner unfortunatly. However the specific point in the contract that I would stress is that the salesman has filled it out saying it was only necessary for me to study 8 hours per week, which in my experience is just not enough! This is the point that I feel I was miss sold the course with.
