Well here we go again I received a default notice on the 9/10 ..the letter was dated 1/10 demanding I pay the outstanding sums of £1016.01 within fourteen days or this will increase to the sum of £2546.04 . As noted in my other thread I have won my ppi claim and have been awarded a sum of over £900 I sent the acceptance form back via recorded delivery on the 1st October. I included in my acceptance letter a statement of intent to clear my arrears upon receipt of the ppi money. Now what the hell are welcome playing at again, I'm in the mood to give them hell on the phone tomorrow! !!! Advice please xx

    Am sure if you contact them explaining they will be sympathetic - they have no legs to stand on realy

     

    I had something similar but will be turning mine down - for other reasons.

     

    I don't want it to effect other claims i have against them for same agreeements, and some of the figures are dubious.

  3. Hello guys , been away from here for a while to be honest i lost a bit of faith in the whole thing as i wasnt getting anywhere slowly.

     

    Anyhow today i recieve a letter from The FOS and Welcome informing me my PPI Complaint has been upheld and is justified . They have offered me £928.69 which is my PPI refund plus 8% interest.

     

    It states that total compensation offered is £928.69

    as your existing loan agreement has expired(Passed the date by which it should have been repaid) My offer is to apply the compensation as follows:

    £928.69 to be used as a payment to your existing loan.

    The figures quoted are correct at time of printing

     

    The Date of offer is 10/9/10

    Its states , Please respond to this letter by letting me know whether you accept or reject my final decision and my offer of compensation. I enclose an Acceptance form for you to do this , together with a pre-paid envelope . My offer will remain open for 14 days. If you do not respond within this time i will consider the matter closed and will take no further action unless i hear from either you or you.

     

    Now heres my gripe , I recieved this letter TODAY 29/9/10 The envelope it was delivered was franked 2cnd class with NO Postal date or sender address. And guess what the 14 day date has expired. As i got home after6pmm the office was closed to discuss this matter. There was also No Pre paid envelope enclosed . I will be returning my letter of acceptance via signed delivery tomorrow after i have made a phonecall to welcome and the FOS.

     

    The thing is i know my account will then be settled barring a payment of £80 BUT i think they have got off scott free as i have paid nearly £5000 back for a £2000 loan. Im going to accept but a financial benefit will not really be felt by me.

  4. Hi Beyond. Thank you once again for your advise , i have compiled a letter suggesting what ou have advised i will send it by recorded delivery. Problem is..If my account is under investigation and it turns in my favour what will happen to any future payments that i make will they be returned to me?. Many Thanks.P.s i still have recieved no further notice from welcome :/ i also need to send my paperwork back to the fos this was regarding ppi questionaire so they can continue with my complaint. xx

  5. Hi yeah That sums It up I'm also lead to believe my contract is up the wall regarding apr Etc

    they accepted my complaint regarding harassment and have still failed to resolve my ppi complaint.

    I recentley informed welcome I would be with holding.any future payments until they resolve my dispute. X

  6. Hi i hope somebody here can i help. I have recieved a Power of attorney demand on behalf of RBOS for the sum of £1200.64 And enclosed is a statutory demand under section 268(1)(a) of the insolvency act 1986. I have no idea how this debt has spiralled or what this means, I DID have a bank account with RBOS around 5 years ago and i went around £200 pounds overdrawn at which point i opened a new bank account and then my life spiralled for the next 5 years so i actually forgot about this bank account so years later this letter lands on my mat. Where the hell do i start and what do i do :(

Hi cityredgirl how are things going? they 'may' send someone around but its unlikely (ive never had a visit arranged by local branch following one of those letters) also they 'shouldnt' send anyone around. Im afraid I dont agree with the advice you were given early on about not paying, welcome do not subscribe to the banking code and therefore 'account in dispute' means nothing and by not paying you are going to get charges added to the account from them chasing payment which they are at liberty to do as you arent paying. Im just concerned that until recently alot of people were quick to advise dont pay when that in fact caused a temporary worse situation for the person trying to solve their issue. Any news on PPi?

     

    Hi BEYONDHOPE, Many thanks for taking time to advise me. I havent heard anything in the last 2 weeks, I recieved some paperwork from the FOS asking for me to fill in some ppi stuff before they commence with my complaint. Im concerned too about being advised not to pay etc, what should i know do? should i ring welcome and make a payment over the phone with my credit card?. I became disallusioned with some advise i recieved here and now i feel a bit out of my depth due to the silence and uncertain facts. hings are going from bad to worse if this comes back to bite me on the bum. :(

  8. UPDATE ; Today i recieved Complaint FINAL RESPONSE

    Welcome have upheld my complaint regarding Telephone harrasement and have informed me that telephone corespondance should not have continued and that they have now removed my telephone number from there system. Well thank you very much but it hasnt resolved my PPI complaint which was swnt in february. :/ do you think the resolution off ppi is forthcoming reading BIGLOU thread maybe that was my settlement offer ;) as im a lou and i live in manchester.

     

    Also UPDATE: recieved a letter from local branch stating " If you fail to contact us immediatley , we will be left with no alternative but to instruct a representative to visit your home in order to discus a payment plan.

    We are sympathetic to your situation and any feasible offer made by you will be given serious consideration. We now look forward to hearing from you.

  9. City, If you are with thr FOS i would chase it up with them.

     

    I havent heard back from the fos and i go on holiday this friday so i was going to send the above complaint to compliance again ;) Although my local branch is only 10 minutes from my work im tempted to post my cat sh+t through its letter box haha. :smile:

    As you are aware I have requested several times that my PPi and missold insurances be returned to me in full. Welcome Finance continue to ignore my requests and harrass me when I have clearly stated I will make no contractual payments UNTIL I have a full resolution on my account!

  11. Hi guys , thank you. As previously posted i cancelled my direct debit as advised on here previous. I informed welcome in writing that i had cancelled my payments until they resolve my complaint etc. So i will write another complaint in regards to yesterdays letter and see what happens, How will i go about demanding charges back then ? thank you xx

  15. Hi Cityred, did you send your complaint recorded and have proof of delivery? Even if not, is it 8 weeks since their acknowledgement?

     

    If so you can go straight to the ombudsman now with your complaint as it has not been resolved in the correct timescale.

    Or you can email or phone the FOS too, for your reference Welcome would have been sent the following letter, as they are not playing ball you should expect some speedy resolution and another nail in the Welcome coffin!

    Hi major playor, Its has been way over 8 weeks, I have already complained to the FOS but they wanted me to send all copies of my paperwork to them to continue with my complaint. Welcome acknowledged verbally that they recieved my ppi complaint etc so if they now turn round and say they didnt recieve it they are bloody lying. They make my blood boil i may just ping off another complaint today :O x
