There are two girls in London office who have been placed at risk of redundancy (both sole incumbents!?!):
1. Administrator working for service. Placed at risk as job is moving to Bristol. However one of the vacancies in the pack is 70/80% the same job as she is currently carrying out and is based in London. Can she really be classed as at risk?
2. Administrator (predominantly working for sales but the company have stated she works for service in same department as above administrator). She asked for job description but was told the company do not have one on file - and can they have a copy of hers?
Both girls asked who had made the decision on them and it was a Manager who does not (obviously) know what they do and not their line manager (me)
Is this legal?
They are both in consultation now and their next meeting is this coming week so if anyone can give us some ideas it would be extremely helpful.

Please can anyone give any advice on this : A quick update - I finally received an email from HR asking if I could provide a JD for each of the girls which I am providing for them. However both JD's are completely different to that which the company think they are - do the company have to pull out of the process??
