There was a victory for CPS in Portsmouth County Court and in Scotland also documented on this forum.

Parking companies win court cases up and down the country every few days. Just because they're not all documented on these forums doesn't mean they don't happen.

I'd suggest you pop down the library and rent a couple of text books

The ticket was legally issued and need to be paid.

Private tickets are issued under the law of contract. The sign says you agreee to pay ABC if you do XYZ. The contract is just as binding as a council or police issued ticket, but in a different way.
