To be honest, If I was offered an incentive like that by my creditors, I would attempt to pay them off first. Would be one debt down and a xmas pressie down too!

Dodgy head gasket repair
in Garage services
Posted
I was travelling across the country in my Vauxhall Corsa in July 2009 when it broke down 200 miles from home. I had the car towed to the nearest repair garage as per the agreement with the vehicle recovery company.
The company advised it was the head gasket which would take some days to repair, they advised me this would be circa £800. I had no other option than to agree to the repair in the circumstances. They kindly let me have a courtesy car which I kept for a week whilst repairs were being done.
A week later I picked the car up and it was fine, about a month later it began to have similar yet less infrequent symptons it had prior to the breakdown. It seemed to run fine and as someone who knows nothing about cars I didnt think much of it (of course in hindsight this was wrong).
Anyway, the issue is I paid considerable money for a repair and now less than 12 months later, the head gasket has gone again. I was given a 3 month warrenty, however even though this has now ended surely I have some recourse on another repair job? Is there anything in the SOGA which would entitle me to any recourse?
Thanks in advance for any help.
