  1. :confused:Hi all

Back in january, my husband was held at gun point in our home and we were robbed, the next day i reported it t to Barclays Insurance, who put the claim in the hands of Crawford & company loss adjusters, since then the loss adjuster came out (2 weeks later) and its now 19 weeks since this claim was made. Every time i phone crawford up, i keep getting fobbed off saying they waiting for police report, or they waiting to speak to police, now they say they waiting to talk to insrance company, they just wont give me any clear answers. Does anyone know how long a claim should take to be handled???????????

  2. hi not wrote on here for a while, but got a letter a few weeks after sending the statute barred letter, saying that they would let the original creditor know, since then heard nothing up to the other day when i got a letter from 1st credit again offering me a huge discount if i paid them, i have replied with a letter saying you have contacted me again regarding these accounts..........does anybody know where i stand with this as its getting really annoying now

  3. Hi

In January 2008, my Husband took out a mortgage with GMAC , which was on fixed rate till January 2010.

The reason for taking it out with them is because he as a CCJ, which is in the process of being paid.

What i would like to know is, when the fixed rate finishes, which is currently at 7 1/2% (i think), does anybody know what his new interest rate will be????

The mortgage was for £118,000 and he pays £872 per month.

Any information would be received with thanks.

  4. It's a letter to tell them that they cannot take any enforcement action to collect the debt. Once a debt becomes Statute Barred it can never become un-barred no matter what. You could put a full-page spread in you local paper admitting to the debt and it still wouldn't make an iota of difference. Just send them the letter in post #3 ;)

Thanks for that info, i gonna send the letter first thing in the morning, should i send it by recorded delivery or just normal post ?????:)

  7. Hi

    Hope somebody can help!!!!!!

I have a account with the above bank and also a loan which comes out of the same account.

The problem i have got is that there is a £6000 overdraft on this account, which is upto its limit, the reason for this is all bank charges and interest and loan payments etc.

I want them to take this to debt recovery as they are now adding £15 per day for being just over the overdraft limit.

    What can i do??????????????

    Any help would be appreciated.
