strange letter was dated 8 mar but I only got it yesterday. also that I didn't get a card or anything saying the had come round.

what should I do next? They are ignoring my letter.

    Help please!

  3. well Npower showed up yesterday!

I had a card through the letter box saying someone had been round and I'd been out and to please call number. Didn't bother doing anything.

Yesterday just getting home from work with the kids and a guy walks up to my door.

I must give him his dues he was very polite, not threatening at all. Said he was from Npower wanting to discuss my bill. I said all communication should be in writing. he said would I like discuss about a prepayment meter. I said he should communicate in writing. He siad OK he'd note on my case that I was refusing to talk to him said goodbye and left. He wasn't mean or threatening about it but had obviously been sat outside for a while waiting for me. Cos as soon as th kids got down and began off loading the car he came towards me.

I sent off my budget & letter last week but hadn't had a reply. Should I write them again. I know it's said not to call but should just ring to confirm they have my letter? cos it seems thery're not taking any notice of it if they're sending round thier people?

What do I do next ?

    Thanks

  4. Hi all,

I have another thread about 3 valleys water if you can offer any help.

I now owe Npower £1500 for gas & electric steming from last year when I was on maternity leave and at home with new baby. Hence I was on maternity pay SMP (only afford nappies and food) but managing to pay £100/month towards bill. Unfortunately bill has increased and Npower want me to pay £490/month which I obviously cant. As a tenant in the property I told them they can't install a prepayment meter BUT I am still paying £100/month and explained my situation a single parent with 4 kids not on benefits but just managing to keep my head above water but they have passed my account on to P2C.

P2C sent me letter about a visit and they'll enter the house install prepayment meter or disconnect me. They also said Npower have told them to add £23 to the account for not paying (£100 still leaving my account every month) and the total cost of them visiting could be up to £315.

    Am I right in that

    1. I can send P2C the letter about "doorstep call"

    2. Should I correspond with P2C or with powergen as powergen are still taking my money?

    3. Can I send Powergen and/or P2C a CCA for a break down of my account/fees/interest even though it's not a "credit debt". What should I send instead?

I have read through a several threads on P2C but it seems they can force there way in & disconnect which of course in this weather with 3 small kids would be a nightmare.

I must also point out that my credit rating is shot to pieces having been made redundant a few years back.

    Any advice gratefully recieved.

  5. Hi all, can anyone help. I had not recieved a water bill for a while now even though last summer I had called them to give them a change of name on the account as the annual bill was previously in my landlord's name. I hadn't heard anything from them until 3 weeks ago they sent me a bill for £490. £200 odd owing from last year and this years bill of another £200+. I asked how come they had not contacted me prior to now with about the £200 owed from last year. they said they had sent letters which I honestly had not recieved. Unfortunately I do not have the means to pay this (have a seperate thread about Npower). I am not on benefits but am a single mother of 4 and things ae just really tight. I have numerous debts from when I was made redundant in 2003 which I am still paying off. I have sent them a statement of earnings and offered to pay £30 a month which is all I can afford. No reply recieved but today I recieved a letter from Trust Recoveries Legal Enforcement & Process Servers:

Can anyone advise me on what to do. Can they get my work details and serve me at work?

  6. I have just got my credit file online from Experian and it is only this 1 account from CL finance which is showing as defaulted.

None of the others are there. What does this mean. I know some of the debts are old ones which I have been paying since 2005 when I was made redundant but how come they are no longer showing on my credit file? Also another debt from 1st credit which I have a repayment plan can I ask them for the DCA?

    Thanks

  7. Hello thank you for responding. the judgement was made by default I did not acknowledge the claim form. If I have to continue payments I will but I want to avoid an attachment of earnings.

I would like to know as I have 2 debts with them which I am paying. I have sent them a SAR for the debts with them. But as I am already paying them is it too late to query the other 2 debts

  8. Help

I have outstanding debt with CL Finance via a Debenhams Card I had which I fell behind on when I was made redundant about 4 years ago.

They went to court and I agreed a repayment plan with them but unfortuantely couldn't keep up with the repayments and fell behind they have gone back to court and I have to now file an N55/N56 attachmenet of earnings. I intend to file and ask for a suspended order so that I can try and get the judgement overturned(?) on the basis that I didn't have a CCA with them (?)

I will be sending the N56 to court tomorrow but want to find out if it is at all possible to get the CCJ overturned when I didn't do anything when they first started preceedings.

I have seen a thread v CL Finance for which I am kicking myslef for not bothering to check CAG in the first place but now I am sending a S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) to CL Finance I've got 2 other debts they are managing as well. I haven't defaulted with these yet but what can be done once they have gone to court and court found in thier favour and have ordered me to pay.
