    Hi slick132, Thanks for your reply . the original ppi was £1500 + interest incured due to ppi £ 255+8% per annum simple interst £ 1082.92 so the total was 2828.91. the letter is as follow : please note that the 8%per annum simple interst payment has been made gross and therefore no deduction has been made for income tax in accordance with current tax legislation . however ,the payment is taxable so uk tax legislation requires you to include this amount on your tax return if you currently complete . if you do not then you need to tell HMRC that you have received this payment. any potential of tax liability as a result of this payment will be your responasability. end of letter. I also hear that I could claim restitutionary damages is that possible. the loan happen between feb/2003 and may 2006 the amount was 10k Thanks for your advise Much appreciated

    Hi slick123, I have been awarded PPI claim by my bank but on the letter they asking me to pay tax on the next year tax return -why should I pay tax on a money I have previously payed tax on ? Should I claim any restitutionary damages? please need some advise Many thanks

  5. Hi there, I have just found out that barclays bank charge me an account fee since 2001 . the premiun started @£6.5 first year until just recently I found out and it was £11.5 . When I put a complain to barclays they said:the premiun was for additional account for some cover insurrance but they had no documentation proving that I agrreed to have the additional accounton but out a good will they will refund only £72 only out of the £500.also they were not happy when I ask them who authorised it instesd they said that it could have be aggreed over the phone. I have contacted them again ,they were very rude also saying that it was my fault and not their I explain to them that I could not check my account because I was constantly traveling but lately I have noticed in my montly statement a so called account fee so that how got in touch with them Anyone knows what to do next? Much appreciated I do not know
  6. I just contacted the evaluation office about the band I am standing at the moment © . I said to them that it should be band (B) because the house value at the time of evaluation in 1991 I believe was less then 50.000 . They said :because it is a house therefore it is band ©, band (B) is only for flats. But the criteria for councel tax was the evalution of the property and not the type of property . I am wrong ...feeling abit confussed in this regard Please I need some advise
  7. Hi everyone, I am holding a third party and theft insurance . About 4 month ago I had an accident wich I was responsible for .The other party and I exchange details as usual. but last week I had a letter from the other party insurance stating that my insurance company had not make the relevant payment to his client and that I should make the payment to them in 14 days ,otherwise they will proceed legaly against me . So I send the letter to my insurance( recorded delivery) and I also called them to see the matter clearly. They told me that I should not be worried that they dealing with the case . What should I do In case the other party insurance proceed against me ? Please I need some advice ASAP Many thanks momo69
