I have been following all the guidance this site has given regarding the reclaiming of bank charges and I wrote to the Yorkshire bank's wonderfully cooperative Advice Quality Unit on the 7th July 2007 informing them using the LBA template that i would commence court proceedings unless they settled my cliam (£3260). I did not recieve a reply to my letter, so after a number of phone calls i eventually got through to the Advice Quality Unit who informed me that they did not recieve my letter until the 29th July, and that a result of the OFT'S announcement that my complaint would be put on hold and that they would put this in writng to me. I have recieved their letter today. Can anyone tell me if i should apply to my local court and issue proceedings against them.
