In April I succesfully reclaimed my charges from the Nationwide (thank you very much). Nationwide wrote to me informing me that the charges had been returned and also pending charges had been cancelled, the money went into my account and was swiftly withdrawn by myself however I did leave a token amount in ther to keep the account active.

Last month however I was (very) surprised to see that my account was again overdrawn, it appears according to my local branch that there was a charge that was not cancelled and that charge has made me overdrawn!!

By now the charges amount to around forty pounds.

By my reckoning the case was still in dispute when they applied this charge.

Are there any wordsmiths out there that could give me some input to bring this to a swift resolution.

Thanks.

Have you still got the original letter they wrote to you telling you they were going to cancel the charges - if so, go into a branch with it and tell them to refund it. If you haven't they should have it on record anyway. They should have checked whether you had any charges pending when they cancelled the rest of them IMO
