Lloyds Account Charge £10.00?

Is the monthly so-called £10 Account Charge (fixed service charge) re-claimable?? Lloyds list it as a Fee and not a Charge.

 

I have been including these in my spread sheets and have just now become unsure. This is my final question before i fix my final N1. Cheers!?

As far as I am aware this is an acceptable fee for a gold service account. Because you get benefits with this account they can charge this fee. They are not reclaimable.

No, I was charged a tenner a month with a gold service account for years and now it's platinum it's £15 a month. Just for the "benefits" which I never used. That's £120 a year to you!!!

 

I'm closing all my Lloyds accounts. You should downgrade to classic (£0) a month, or better still switch as I have. Look at opening with Alliance & Leicester and Halifax. They give you presents, like cash!!

 

Halifax give you £100 and A&L £50 a time if you recommend a friend. Conditions are attached of course.

they never make it clear that you have to pay a "fee" when opening up an account with lloyds but your right its not reclaimable
