I gave my complaint about my lloyds charge to the financial ombudsman, as i didn't feel confident enough about the Scottish small claims stuff. They kindly sorted it out, and the bank made me an offer of the full amount, £892.75, Which i was thrilled about. I worte and accepted the offer.



then yesterdayi got a 2 letters from lloyds, one addressed to me, letting me know that £847 will be credited to my account within 10 days in full and final settlement, as i'd agreed. (i'm assuming i'll actually get a cheque as that account is closed)



the other letter was to both me and my hubby, and i'm assumed referred to our joint account, letting us know that £45.75 would be credited within 10 days as full and final settlement.



now the total is correct, the only hitch is that at no point have i ever mentioned my joint account in all this. I have only sent off information relevant to my sole account, and accepted £892.75 as payment for my sole account.


I've tried ringing the number, but the message box is always fulll. I called into a branch yesterday, and they were singularly unhelpful.



any ideas what i can do?
