Hi all,

After raising my complaint with the FSO, they advised Abbey to refund all charges. Despite this Abbey have still not done so, six weeks on!

Abbey now refuse to discuss it with me, saying they will only speak with the FSO. Last week I phoned the FSO (who was less than interested) to ask for assistance and they said they would get in touch with Abbey to see what was going on and call me back to let me know.

Today I called the FSO asking if they had any news, and why they hadn't called me back, and they said they would only call me back when they had a reply from Abbey, who have 14 days to do so. When I asked when the FSO had contacted Abbey (so I could calculate the 14 day deadline) they refused to tell me?!

Where do I go from here?

Start your 14 days from your last phonecall. At least there is an audit trail there.

IMHO, if after that period, nothing has been forthcoming, start your claim by issueing your N1 claim form in Court.

You can then quote the FSO contacts and decision in your claim and stipulating that this action has been taken as a last resort. You can then start to claim interest on your money from the day it was taken unlawfully from your account plus costs.

My opinion only. Anyone feel free to advise differently or support? ;)

srfrench

Fight incompetance, stupidity, greed and unfairness......There's no excuse and no place for it in society, unless they really are!
