Hi, I have been claiming bank charges for my Grandson, he has joined the Army and is on a 6 month training course. He has been notified that Lloyds TSB intends to defend all of the claim. If it goes to court, can I stand in for him?

Yes he needs to give permission in writing for you to act on his behalf.

You can do a sworn affidavit at your local County court they will witness it and theres no charge for it.

I would also get a letter from him which authorises you to his data protection info as a third party acting on hios behalf.

Claims have been done without any of this as the banks do not know unless face to face who they are dealing with, but this is the correct way to do it.
