not so sure though,

have heard they have links to the CSA (I do not have any children apart from my beautiful daughter) and they are members of a credit trade association. Apart from this though, it seems very wierd just how little information there is on them.

Would there be any credit based groups you guys would not have neard of??

Possibly.... although I'm sure they get discovered sooner or later.

I was traced approx. 6 years ago in relation to a Scottish Widows policy that I took out yonks ago. Apparently the company had de-mutualised and they wanted to give me some money.... I got a chq. for £3.5k ! :o

So it just might be genuine... but I can understand your concerns. See if anyone else can come along and shed some light on them before you go and do anything to reveal your identity.

We had similar thing happen a few years ago and got our insurance broker to call them - turns out they had an unclaimed policy of OH's and we got about 2K - not from Faraday but it was still scary.

I am concerned despite writing to Faraday Tracing Burea twice about where they obtained my information from they did reply.

I have escalated this matter to the Information Comissioners Office because I feel that the pensions company has disclosed my information to Faraday without requesting my permission.

I have to admit contacting them by phone I was really annoyed with their telephone manner.

Would like to hear from anyone who has also experienced this.

Faraday Tracing Burea Tracing People who have a Pension with the National Bus Company.

I have finally had a reply. I have been doing some digging and this is what I have found.

In March 2008 there was a case in the chancery division, please double click on the blue writing below to read the case:-

http://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/Ch/2008/455.html

Basically if you had a pension with the National Bus Company you maybe entittled to a sum of money.

Alot of people lost out on their pensions as far as I am aware there is over a million pounds to be claimed.

Solicitors called Taylor Wessing contacted Faraday Tracing Burea to trace missing people who have not claimed their pension pot. You could also claim if you were next of kin. Please click on the link below

http://www.taylorwessing.com/lawyers/details/david-greig.html

The company dealing with the claims in Standard Life Mr Collins telephone number 0131 245 6431.

I am requested copies of all documents in relation to the pension.

I too received the mysterious letter and was reluctant to contact them. However, upon receipt of a second letter I did contact them today. Pleased to report they were genuine and were contracted by one of the top four construction companies in the UK (a household name you'd recognise) to trace addresses in relation to occupational pension schemes for ex-employees of a company that they had recently acquired.

I only had to provide my d.o.b. and on that they told me what it was about. No need to hand over N.I. number, etc.

So no problems. Good luck.
