Hi folks. I've been looking at the copy of my credit file and i was wondering what it means when it says "started"?

It looks like this if this makes any sense?

My Name & Address

D.O.B

Name of Company i have credit with

Started 01/01/07 Balance £0 Credit limit £500

Is this the date i took on the credit? Its probably a dumb question but i cant find anything that tells me what it means.

Thanks!

Oooh PS: Does the 6 years statute barred start fromthe date started or the date defaulted? Ta muchly

I believe that it refers to the the date the account was opened.

The statute-barred date refers to the last correspondence/payment that you made to a company/DCA. If no further written contact/payment is made within a 6 year period, then the account becomes statute-barred.

:)
