Has anyone else recieved a letter from [problem] entitled Strictly Without Prejudice Confidential?

They are willing to pay £4317.42 in bank charges £8.52 in interest and £120.00 court fee, providing I sign this settlement contract and contact my local branch manager to review the account. If not a defence will be lodged by the deadline the 23rd of July.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello and welcome to CAG. The settlement contract is it a Tomlin Order?, or is it just a letter asking you to sign an acceptance of certain conditions?. Some people have had these before. I would be careful signing for an account review, as it will probably be an interview removing certain facilities and downgrading your account, maybe even take away an overdraft facility. Some users in the past have signed the letter accepting the refund, but have scrubbed out and initialled the conditions, like the account review. They have then been paid out in full. I have left some links below for you to have a look around the site. This is a Lloyds account is it not?.. Is this a full settlement to your claim?

Thanks Ukaviator, yes this is a Lloyds account. Good info on ammending the settlement letter. Have just received your post and will get busy looking thru the links. Have decided to wait and see if they do file a defence. Is it just me or are Lloyds and [problem] being deliberately inconsistent?
