I sent the Data Protection Act letter a couple of weeks ago and have so far received a reply that they will be sending me the required information and that they have waived the fees that are normally charged for this... ironic that, isn't it...?!

Now I am patiently waiting for the information. In my case, the charges for the last 18 months (checked on-line) are about £1000, so goodness knows how much it will be for 6 years...

Will keep you updated.

Great stuff and good news about waiving the fee.

Nationwide used to do that before they became all uppity :-D

Keeps us updated.

Got all the statements.

Have sent the preliminary letter to HSBC Visa yesterday. That's only just £40... but that's £40 more than nothing.

Am currently working on the charges for the HSBC current account which will come to approx. £3500 ... I'll hopefully finish the list tonight so I can send it off tomorrow.

Superfast response from HSBC Visa on Friday... the usual fob-off letter. So will send my PAL this week. It's only for 40 quid, so surely they won't cause too much of a fuss about it... :(

Nothing heard at all since PAL on 18th July... Moneyclaim done today... It's only £40 this time round, but hopefully they will take me a bit more seriously when I go in for the big money on my current account... LOL I can't believe they let it get to this stage, they now have to pay back almost double the original amount...

Just a list of charges with the Preliminary letter and the Preaction letter, no need to send list of charges again when filing a claim at the court.
