I'm new to this site. I have received a Notice that Acknowledgement of Service has been filed.

The court is Northampton County Court

The defendant is Halifax plc

The amount claimed is £1927.39

Halifax plc have 28 days from 1st July 2007 to file a defence.

Can anyone offer advice on what action I should take now.

Thankyou.

A further £395.32 arrived in my account the same day. Total = £1749.32. This is still a £178.07 below the amount claimed. Apparently a letter has arrived at my home address from Halifax. Don't know what it says as I'm away from home until Friday 20th July.

I suppose they want me to settle at this. What do you think - anyone?

This is a typical payout.

1, charges

2, interest and fees.

You need to double check your figures, and see where the missing amount is from.
