I posted my Subject Access Request letter to the address registered with the Data Protection Commissioner as recommended by Bankfodder, however, everyone else seems to be using different addresses for halifax/bank of scotland!

I used

BANK OF SCOTLAND,

ACCOUNTS AND RECORDS DEPT,

THE MOUND

EDINBURGH

EH1 1YZ

Has anyone else used this address to positive effect? Or not??

What is the phone number you used, because I have been trying to call and confirm that my SAR has been received, but I get put through to customer relations, who then say that they can't tell whether its been received or not and that they will send an email to the relevant dept to call me and let me know... but of the course the phone call never materialises.

NOPE!

Always use this:

HBOSplc

Trinity Road

HALIFAX

HX1 2RG

No matter where you get replies from.

BTW. I notice that you haven't started your own thread in the Halifax Bank of Scotland sub-forum.

It would help if you did (same with your Nationwide claim) - start one there as well. It helps you and others to see how you are progressing.
