Hi there,

The halifax have until tuesday to respond to my lba, but I am a bit concerned about what I have to do next?

I know that court is the next step but am worried about how I go about it.

Can I do it online or do I have to go to the court?

How long after I submit the papers do they have to respond?

It all seemed like a bit of fun writting the letters but know the court bit is approaching I am starting to get a bit worried!!

Any help would be appreciated!

Many thanks

Hi there,

I submitted mine via MCOL, it is easy to complete, however you can't attach a schedule of charges so this has to be posted. In hindsight (and after reading the FAQ's properly!) the N1 seem to be the better option. You can find more details & have a look at both options through the Templates library.

Once the claim has been issued (by the court) the bank (defendant) have 14 days in which to acknowledge, if they do this they have a further 14 days to defend (28 days in total from the date of issue) The court will confirm to you in writing with the dates etc.

Hope this helps....just had mine acknowledged & now waiting......

Good luck!

We all felt scared and nervous at first - I must have been the worst, but with the help and support from people on here, I did it and won!

Take a look at other threads that have won and see how things pan out. Most do not even get to court, they pay up a day or two beforehand.

There is a great bunch of people in here that want to see you win, so ask anything you are not sure of, no matter how silly you think them to be.

Good luck and go get 'em ;)
