I found myself in Kings Hill yesterday (don't ask!) and couldn't help noticing a shiny new building almost completed. I whipped out my camera phone for the benefit of the forum.

Business must be booming for Uncle Ken if he can afford a 43,529 sq ft bunker out of our money:

I had a good old nose around, all on the legal side of the fence, and I must say it's an impressive building:

The roundabout in front of the building has a rather interesting piece of artwork, some men supporting a giant sphere. I guess it's to symbolise all the b*llocks Cabot push:

Nice to see our money's being well spent, hey?

  • Barclays: WON!!! It took four months but was totally worth it!
  • Cabot: I'm still waiting for an enforcable agreement, more than a year after requesting it. Go on, Uncle Ken, take me to court if you dare. You know you want to!
  • Elephant.co.uk: VICTORY - they admitted there was no debt!
  • Ashbourne Management (gym membership): Finally got my default removed and out-of-court settlement; I'm not finished with them yet!

<--- If I've been helpful please remember the scales ;)

Can they afford the rent considering the indications of a future downturn in business. :p

He didn't come looking for trouble, but trouble came looking for him.

When the smoke clears, it just means he's reloading.

Not MY money. And they're not likely to get any either. :D

Mine neither, and seeing as how my original creditor doesn't have a CCA, I doubt they'll get their hands on one. Still, they've had two months...

Kings Hill isn't a bad place, but totally sterile and devoid of any character. Just endless identikit office buildings. I'd go spare working there.

How typical they use this eh? Typical of Cabot I say, everybody from the firm pushing in different directions.

Just hate every DCA out there

Yes - but remember when we were kids in the playground at school and the bullies used to push us?

I learnt to give them a yank = pull them and they'd always fall flat on their faces!!

My dad always said if they push = you pull = they land on faces :D

Then he'd say if they pull = you push = they land on their asses :D - needless to say once I got the knack of that little trick - I never lost any fight at school

It's OK that there is conflict within there really - cause we know exactly what we are doing!! Let's leave them to their conflicting "pushing" cause they will land on their faces or on their asses!! :D :D

It's just that they currently don't know which way they are going to land?

  • 1 month later...

Cabot are now in their new building, enjoying the subsidised coffee shop, no doubt. I wonder if they uncovered my Barclaycard agreement while they were packing for the move - it's been four months since I requested it....

Cabot Financial Group doubles office space with move to new building Aug 23 2007

Cabot Financial Group, market leader in debt purchase, has moved to new headquarters, more than doubling its office space and improving the working environment for staff while creating capacity for further growth.

The new purpose-built facility, which is in the same business park as Cabot Financial’s previous headquarters in West Malling, Kent, increases the floor space from around 19,000 square feet previously to approximately 44,000 square feet now and will enable the company to grow from its present employee base of 330 to a planned 450 over the next two years. Along with increased capacity, the new building also offers superior on-site facilities for staff including a subsidised coffee shop and additional recreation areas.

The headquarters has been built with a focus on using local suppliers and with consideration for green issues to minimise the future ecological impact of the company. Huge investment has also been made into automation and technology to support ongoing business expansion.

John McCluskey, HR Director, commented: “As a service-orientated business, our employees are crucial to our continued success and the standard of the working environment is an important factor in recruiting, retaining and motivating excellent staff. By building a bespoke new office and consulting employees in every step of the process, we have been able to create a number of new facilities which will improve the quality of their working day."

Ken Maynard, Group CEO, added: “In recent years we have seen unprecedented demand for debt purchase and our investment in new purpose-built headquarters illustrates our expectations for further growth in the UK and Europe. Following the successful opening of offices in Spain and Ireland, we have plans for continued expansion overseas, supported by experienced staff in the UK as well as expert local personnel.”

Aha! but don't forget my Cabot Fan Club followers, staff moral has been a bit shaky of late, Seahorses blog must have given the jitters and Ken is about to lose a couple of rather sizable clients because of the bad publicity he has brought upon them... I know they are negotiating with others ;) ;) so he's going to have a few thousand feet looking sparse in the not too distant future.

We ain't finished with him yet by a long shot and he is DEFINITELY in for some further rather large surprises - just watch this space and let it unfold.

You can always PM me Ken ! :D I'd be happy to talk..
