Hi all I am Wolfman68 may I just say that this is my first thread here and I am not a fast typer and my pc ability ltd sorry I have been following the Kings Hill / Cabot issue closely as I have an ongoing court case with them after they won by default having not receiving the claim papers but they have made so many mistakes and alot they have done is the same as some of you have had to deal with in my case confusion so i shall be keeping a close eye on developments within the site my next hearing date is in august fourteen months after claim was issued and I am trying to get the judgement set aside as I must stress through the default they went straight for and got an interim charging order against my property for an unsecured credit card debt and even though the solicitor did not have a clue and as he was so old and looked like I cant believe it meldrew they do not give up and it annoys how it seems they can get away with going against OFT guidelines is beyond me but as i heard of someone at National debt line apparantly Cabot buy up even statue barred debts but it was strange that she had never heard of Kings Hill the way they conduct thenselves you would think that they would be inadated with calls any you all keep up the good fight against these rats.

Hi Wolfman68 :)

You've obviously been doing quite some reading in the Cabot forum. If you start your own thread there people will be able to assist you on a more personal basis, you may even have grounds to have the judgement set aside if it's as bad as you say.

Good luck and welcome to the Consumer Action Group. ;)

Thanks diskmandave I will keep looking and let you know how it goes but all kings hill and cabot are jokes but i also blame royal mail how england still respects them as deliverers of court papers etc is beyond me even though their incompetance as proved by court fines etc I vote we have the same as scotland where papers have to be served upon you and have a better attitude towards debt collectors
