Hi,

I'm new to this site and didn't realise until today that it was possible to try and get bank charges back (Thank god for GMTV! ).

What I would like some help on is where to start, should I just send the basic letter from the templates with my £10, or should I send a letter with no money and if they do not repond then send another with the ££...

... Or maybe just go in for the kill send them the letter with the £10 and include my reason for wanting the information?

Thanks in advance

James

from my understanding unless you know the exact amount you wish to claim back, send the DPA letter requesting statements for the last 6 years so you can calculate exactly what they owe you. Include the £10 maximum fee, its up to them whether they wish to cash it or not. Once you have calculated the amount you can eneter negotiaition with them using a prelim letter to politely ask for your money back then take it from there.
