Hi everyone

I sent my DPA letter to Barclays on 5th June and received a reply on the 7th. Basically they returned my £10 cheque saying that my request for them to provide a schedule of charges has been "turned aside". They are however providing me with complimentary copies of my bank statements going back to 2000 (hope the postman has been working out!):)

Will post again once I have worked out how much our charges come to ...

Hi and welcome

Whilst you are waiting for the postman the best thing you can do is read the FAQ's and read around the forum so you get a full understanding of what you are undertaking

As you will see from my original thread I wrote to Barclays on 5th June requesting details of my bank charges. They replied on 7th saying that the information can be obtained from copy statements which would be sent to me shortly free of charge.

I still haven't received these statements. Has anyone else received a similar letter and if so, how long before they received their copy statements?

As you will see from my original thread

This is the only thread showing under this user name .Did you reregister ?

As you will see it shows you have only made 2 posts on the forum , both of them are in this thread .So I'm a bit puzzled

With not being able to see your original thread I take it you sent the DPAR letter from the libary , they have 40 days by law to comply it's only been 2 weeks .I would wait until a week before and send them a reminder that they only have 7 days left to comply

Today two HUGE envelopes arrived from Barclays containing bank statements going back to 2000. Will spend the next few evenings going through them with my husband and highlighting all the charges. Will keep you posted ...

Have gone through my statements with a fine tooth comb (and a highlighter pen:) ) and have found £1430.00 worth of charges - thought it would be more than that to be honest. Am just writing my letter to Barclays asking for a refund. Will keep you posted ...
