Hiya, this site has been a great help to me so far. Got statements off hsbc internet banking website, worked out charges - £392.00, not much compared to some people's claims but it's still my money and is a fair bit to me! Emailed requesting money back but of course was fobbed off with standard letter, so sent LBA yesterday - fingers now well and truly crossed! Will keep you posted of progress. Good luck to everyone with their claims!

  • 2 weeks later...

Just to let everyone know that it is well worth the time and effort you have to put in to claim back your bank charges. Sent HSBC email of preliminary letter, got standard 'no way' reply back in the post. Send LBA 2 weeks ago and had offer back today which I am happily taking. Be your claim big or small, keep going, it's worth it in the end!!!

Good luck everyone and remember to donate if you win because without this site I would never have known that bank charges were unlawful. Thanks CAG!!:) :) :D :D

hmm you're not the first person to be wondering this just recently, i think they may be getting snowed under a little, send them a nice letter reminding them that you want payment within a timeframe that you set, i.e 5 days

HSBC- £4995, settled payment in full
