I missed 6 months of NI contributions last year. I am wanting to pay the missing months. What class of NI should I ask for? (I want the full pension if that makes sense).

That may not be necessary.

You have a number of years to make up deficient contribution years, and you can ask for a projection from DWP.

With Class 1, you often don't need a full year anyway. Provided within a number of contributions you have met the minimum requirement, your year is fully qualified. My bet is that if you have made half a years contributions you have probably done enough to reach the minimum already.

On some things I am very knowledgeable, on other things I am stupid. Trouble is, sometimes I discover that the former is the latter or vice versa, and I don't know this until later - maybe even much later. Read anything I write with the above in mind.
