Preliminary approach for repayment of charges sent to Natwest Credit Card Operations today. Only been charged £40, but I want it back! Haven't asked for a DPA. Surely I don't need this? I know exactly how much I have been charged i.e. £40.

Standard letter from customer relations received day before yesterday. Think I might be acruing another charge tomorrow. So will need to update my repayment request with my LBA, I suspect.

 

Letter as follows:

 

 

16 June 2006

 

Dear dickboy1,

 

We are sorry that you are less than satisfied with the level of service you received from us. Thank you for letting us know your concerns as it gives us a chance to address the issues you raised.

 

We need more time to look into matters further so we can answer your concern fully. We will contact you again within the next ten business days to let you know how we propose to resolve things for you, or at least to let you know how we are progressing.

 

We can assure you that we will deal with your concern quickly and effectively. To help you understand more about how we will handle your concern, we have enclosed a leaflet which outlines our approach.

Hi there dickboy1, in the same position as you. Other halfs NW Credit Card has £40 of charges and we want them back.

 

Can you tell me where you sent your preliminary letter? I was going to send mine to the John Cunnane address at Borehamwood.

GRRRR. Got all three charges refunded. Only for the next day, for a mysterious cheque for exactly the same amount to be taken out the following day. What are they playing at?! I don't even have a cheque book with this account. I called them up, two days ago, and asked them to explain what was going on. They had no idea, and said they would call me back. They never did. I am seriously pi**ed off.
