What a great site, I have been following this for a few weeks now and this is my first posting - I thought I'd wait until I needed help/clarification!!

I sent off my DPA letter 15 May for 2 separate Halifax accounts. Saw the Tonight programme last week and was fuming by the end of it - thought I'd try and dig out all my statements - found them! Sent off my Prelim Approach letters the following day.

Today I received statements for one of the accounts - and I have miscalculated the amount I want to claim, I thought it was £825, but it now appears it is £1029

Advice please on what I should do - do I wait until I hear back from them, and then let them know I want to claim more, or should I let them know asap?

Thanks, in anticipation.....Sasu

I would advise waiting until the 14 days have expired from the prelim - then send the Letter Before Action, but include a line in it saying that since your previous letter you have recalculated the figure.
