Can anyone give me some advice please............. I made a claim to abbey to reclaim my bank charges and they sent a letter refunding £1295.00 which i was really pleased with.The next day i went to the bank and they told me that they taken back charges from one account which i havent used for a whole year and have had no statements for.Also they have taken back £300 for charges plus an additional £300 for future charges!!!!!!!Needless to say i am fuming and cant believe thay can do this.....any help or advice would be appreciated

Quite simply claim them back again ....give them the chance to refund them by asking for them back in a prelim letter.

If that fails follow the next step and send them a letter before action.

Of course if you already been down this route it should not be too difficult.

Start a thread in the Abbey bank group.

Presumably you have the advantage of not having to wait the 40 days for statements.

That should give you a good head start !!
