Hi,

I'll admit I kind of rushed into this whole thing and looking back I could have done things a little better.

Story so far (using standard templates from this site) -

  • Printed statements of internet and sent first letter claiming £1092 (without interest) on 5th April recorded delivery with spreadsheet schedule
  • Recieved letter saying "looking into matters"
  • Dragged my heels and did not send second letter until six weeks later on the 22nd May
  • Received no reposne as of 12/06

So I am about to do an online claim but am confused as to whether I should add the 8% interest at this time or leave it as per the original letter? Can I change the amount at this stage?

Also because I have not set a strict timetable are the HSBC likely to ignore my letters?

Thank you in advance

Chris

yes you claim the 8% at the MCOL stage (and you can add on any charges if youve had any)

you wont be penalised for taking a longer time between letters - if anything it shows you've been reasonable & given them more than enough time to respond.
