Hi, this thread is for a friend,

Nothing fancy, standard claim plus 8% interest.

Already have statements for the last 6yrs.

Can someone list the description of charges I will be looking out for.

And what timescale are they settleing from the pre lim letter, are they quick or draw it out until the hearing.?

Hi Dar£n, i had a Flexaccount & they would bounce the debits & then bill you months later £25 per item, one month it was £300!!!!!!!!

As for timescales it's a lottery, along with sittinpretty I am still waiting 9 days now since a defence was filed to hear anything, others have been paid before 28 days.

Yeh prob, but its all down to the claimants think money is a bit tight at the mo'

How do NATWEST play the game , is it right to the wire like Barclays?

Pretty much - particularly with the larger claims like this one. Hopefully, the draft order for directions will start to speed up some of the claims though. If they're a bit short for money at the mo, it's worth phoning at the end of the LBA deadline (0845-3030456) to see if an offer's on the table. If they get a positive answer - and they're prepared to wait a few weeks on top of the LBA - they may get the cash back without court action.

If your friend receives a 'gesture of goodwill' letter stating that all charges will be refunded in full and they haven't filed at court, the offer should be accepted. If they've already filed at court and paid fees to do so when their offer arrives - different matter!!! Hope it goes well for them :)

Choosing to ignore their 'advice' about waiting for the outcome of the test case.

My client [hee hee] has been advised by 'me' to continue regardless.
