Bought a dining room suite from john peters in Jsanuary, arrived without its legs, but they came back with them but didn;t assemble it, left table top on floor on a piece of foam. when we turned it over there were a couple of deep scratches , small but deep. Sent photos to JP and they sen French polisher to inspect - he reported due to wood shrinkage, not repairable, they rang to say did I want discount or replacement. I said replacement, they said fine, - then a week or two later they went into administration. The co was bought out so orders are being honoured, but have yet to see if I'll get my new table. Have written to ask administrators, and said if not then I am rejecting the suite and want them to collect it and cancel credit agreement. (Buy now pay Jan 08 so havne't paid anything except £250 deposit yet) I can then hopefully get the £250 back from credit card.




Does this sound right tactics - any other suggestion ??:roll:
