Hi,

My g/f started to claim back the unlawful penalty charges levied on her bank accounts and credit cards, she sent off the S.A.R with the £10 payments, some companies/banks have sent the statements, others haven't as the 40 days isn't over yet, she sent the prelimary request letter for 2 companies so far, however she will be moving out to a new address within the next 2 weeks, what is the best thing she can do to recieve the letters and etc... from the banks, if she informs them of her new address will there be a problem/delays??

thanks in advance:p

For the short term set up a redirect via royal mail this should cover it.

Here's the link for it.

When you next send them a letter inform them of the change of address and ask them to up date their records.

cheers curlyben, I appreciate your superfast response.

What about the S.A.R she is waiting for, she will be long gone to her new address by the time the 40 days is over, plus how does she word the letter the next time she writes to them, I mean on the top right corner does she write her new address or the old one and then does she add a paragraph explaining the change of address and include the old or new address on there??

cheers.

As I mentioned a mail redirect will deal with that.

Just tell them to update their records as of, whenever she moves.

You don't need to explain anything, just tell them.

cheers Curlyben,

Will get the mail redirection sorted.

When she sends the LBA or the PRELIM letters, should she just add a seperate paper notifying the change off address or should she just add it to the actual letter, and what address should she put on the top right, the new or the old address?

Sorry to be a pain, I just want to be 100% sure to get it right.

Thanks.

Really depnds when they go out.

Obviously if its the new address then you need to tall them the old address.

If she's still in the old address then just add a line telling them when she is moving and the new address.

Hope that makes sense.
